Hi, after making the Hertz booking with the CDP code, will I have to pay using an American Express Business Car, or can i just use a normal credit card or debit card, and to confirm I don't need to show any proof of member ID when collecting the car? Thanks

Since February of this year (2015), I have leased vehicles from Hertz on three or four occasions and never had an issue whether I called to make the reservation on their 800 number or at one of their in town centers. Because my husband and I refuse to use credit cards, we have found that Hertz is one of only two companies that will lease a vehicle to customers using debit cards. Only once was there a glitch and that turned out to be my fault because I'd made an error when transferring funds from savings to checking. As they were closing and I didn't have access to the internet to correct the situation I had no choice but to return the next day to pick up the car. Rather than cancelling my reservation and forcing me to accept whatever vehicle they had available, they held my reservation and had the vehicle ready for me to pick up within 10 minutes of my arrival the following day. To say the least I was impressed as this was the week of spring break and given that they were already short on vehicles, they could have easily leased the car to someone else. To say the least I am a very satisfied customer. They will continue to have my business and trust that I will recommend them to all my friends and family.

Are we talking about the same company? I've just come off a 42day rental out of Heathrow Airport London UK and the service was excellent.
Now if you're looking for a rubbish car hire rental company try EASIRENT they are now called "SleazyRent" They win the prize for the worst service and the "Fleece'em & Scarper" attitude. Watch out for the excess insurance, overpriced repairs that you will be charged for, and non communication after the event.

Just one thing to note: The discount is UP TO 20%. I find I usually am given a 10% discount. Not bad, but not as good as what I expected...

Tried this with Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge TN .I kept getting "404: page not found" When it DID finally load the RRI page, the coupon code transferred automatically to the RRI web page reservation link without requiring me to sign in BUT

it did not work. AND...I was unable to find any link to actually SIGN in on abnsave,com website to see if it would work through what one might consider proper procedure via signing in as a member. I see "Join Now" but if you already have joined, there's no obvious link to "sign In" ..Ultimately, as a result I was told by the concierge that they didn't know anything about that code and were not authorized to apply any discount. forced to call reservation 800 number, they gave me a 15 % discount but the whole rigamarole was definitely NOT worth the hassle.
